What is this thread? "What's Going Down?" is meant to let all the members and upcoming members know what is happening with any in character plotlines that may include a bigger role in the board plot, as well as in character relationships with other characters (i.e. original character interactions with canon characters and also original character interaction with other original characters) that will be necessary in future board plots. This thread will only be for plotlines that are not included in the board plot and meant particularly for plotlines and character relationships that will be urgent to know and understand in future board plots.
Who can post in this thread? Only administrators (NOT moderators or members) are allowed to post in this forum. This will be enforced and if anyone is caught posting in this thread without permission of either of the two administrators, they will find themselves suspended from the board for a period of time. This thread is extremely important and cannot be touched by anyone other than the administrators. If you have an idea or need to let the staff know something that should be posted in this thread, please contact an administrator personally or a moderator who can relay the message to the administrators.
Why do we need to read this? Because since that the entire show and movie really revolve around canon character, we need to weave our original characters into some action with the canon characters. To do that, we must have many minor plotlines that we can enable to do that realistically (such as Admiral Jiang hiring Caleb Andrews the Operative to track down Malcolm Reynolds, then having Lin Yao and Jack Weskers tagging along with Caleb Andrews.) And since there are many of these minor plotlines floating around and not in any particular order and also because a lot of the members are unaware of them, it is important that everyone understands these plotlines and knows them, to later prevent confusion or any problems that might surface.
How will you update? I, or Jamie a.k.a Inara M Serra, will reply to this thread with updates considering the plotlines and any new ideas that form. We will keep updates of how well the minor plotline is going and surface any more ideas that might revolve around the plotline. We will also keep updates of any new ideas that will conjure and if anything was changed since the last update. So it is important to read this thread when updated.
I have an idea, what should I do? First of all, if this idea involves any other characters, you MUST contact them and have them okay your idea FIRST. That includes anyone that might be involved, even if it's someone who's supposed to make only one post. After you've got their permission for this head, you can contact either me or Jamie (if not done so already.) You can contact us through the chatroom if we are online, through EzInbox or through instant messaging. Either way, you explain your idea, give a thorough description of it, and then we will talk it out from there. If either of us likes the idea that you've come up with, we'll update this thread and let everyone else know as well.
